Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons and medical staff during complex procedures in the Major Operating Theatre.
- Perform comprehensive scrub nurse duties, ensuring strict adherence to sterile techniques and safety protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and manage intraoperative care to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Manage and prepare surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies before, during, and after surgeries.
- Provide high-quality perioperative care to patients in the Day Surgery unit, including pre-operative assessments and post-operative monitoring.
- Maintain accurate and detailed clinical documentation and surgical logs.
- Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and efficient surgical workflow.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid practicing license from the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in an Operating Theatre or Day Surgery setting.
- Proficiency in both scrub and circulating nursing duties.
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced medical environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare professionals and patients.
- Ability to work full-time hours, including potential on-call or rotational shifts as required.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and infection control in a clinical setting.
