Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive bedside nursing care for patients in medical-surgical wards
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions using clinical judgment
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and discharge plans
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital protocols
- Respond effectively to emergency situations and provide life-saving interventions
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental committees
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent nursing qualification
- Valid nursing registration with Singapore Nursing Board
- Minimum 2 years of experience in acute medical-surgical nursing
- Strong clinical assessment skills and medication administration competence
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems
