Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive, individualized nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic imaging procedures such as CT, MRI, and PET scans.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including inserting IV lines and administering contrast agents according to established protocols.
  • Continuously monitor patient vital signs, sedation levels, and overall condition before, during, and after procedures.
  • Assist radiologists and radiographers in performing interventional radiology procedures, maintaining a sterile field.
  • Educate and counsel patients and families regarding pre-procedure preparations and post-procedure care.
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient health records, nursing notes, and procedure documentation.
  • Adhere strictly to infection prevention control measures, radiation safety protocols, and workplace safety guidelines.
  • Participate in quality assurance audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department.

Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse license with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) and a practicing certificate.
  • Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience (experience in Radiology, ICU, A&E, or Perioperative nursing is highly advantageous).
  • Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required.
  • Strong venipuncture and IV cannulation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centric mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
