Responsibilities
- Review and interpret physician medication orders for accuracy, dosage, and potential drug interactions.
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately in accordance with hospital policies and standard healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to optimize therapeutic outcomes for inpatients and outpatients.
- Maintain precise inventory records and ensure all pharmaceutical supplies are stored according to safety and quality standards.
- Provide clinical counseling to patients and their families regarding medication administration and potential side effects.
- Conduct regular unit inspections to ensure the integrity and safety of medication storage areas.
- Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives to enhance pharmacy service delivery.
Qualifications
- Must be a Licensed Pharmacist in the Philippines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
- At least 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy setting is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations, drug therapy, and patient safety protocols.
- Proficiency in Pharmacy Information Systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to function effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail under pressure.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
