The Stockman plays a critical role in receiving, storing, and dispatching goods with accuracy, organization, and timely logistics coordination. As a Stockman you will verify inbound shipments against invoices and packing lists, organize goods by storage location, and implement efficient stock handling methods such as FIFO. You will prepare items for dispatch, including picking, packing, labeling, and scheduling shipments, while maintaining clean, safe, and well organized warehouse spaces. Regular stock checks and timely data entry ensure inventory records stay precise and auditable.

Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and unload incoming goods; verify quantities against packing lists and purchase orders.
- Store items in designated locations using organized labeling and proper storage methods to optimize space and accessibility.
- Prepare goods for dispatch; pick, pack, label, and schedule shipments according to shipping plans.
- Maintain accurate stock records in the warehouse management system or logs; perform regular cycle counts and assist with stock reconciliation.
- Monitor stock levels and alert when reordering is required to avoid stockouts or overstock.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and orderly warehouse environment; enforce safety protocols and 5S practices.
- Collaborate with procurement, sales, and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and inventory visibility.
- Assist with loading and unloading duties and provide flexible support across warehouse operations as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior warehouse or stockroom experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills and experience with inventory systems or spreadsheets.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording stock movements.
- Good organizational and time management abilities; able to prioritize in a fast paced environment.
- Physically able to lift moderate weights and perform repetitive tasks; comfortable with standing for extended periods.
- Effective communication and teamwork; proactive problem solving and reliability.
