Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate daily warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, picking, and shipping activities.
- Manage inventory accuracy through the implementation of rigorous cycle counting and annual stocktake procedures.
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate a team of warehouse assistants and forklift operators to ensure high productivity.
- Collaborate with the procurement and production departments to align stock levels with manufacturing schedules.
- Optimize warehouse layout and storage strategies to maximize space utilization and improve workflow efficiency.
- Ensure strict adherence to occupational health and safety (OSHA) standards and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly inventory reports and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for management review.
- Troubleshoot discrepancies in inventory and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in warehouse management or logistics, specifically within a manufacturing setting.
- Possess a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Demonstrated leadership ability with experience managing a diverse operational team.
- Strong understanding of 5S methodology, Lean warehousing principles, and inventory control techniques.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and verbal.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
