The Malaya Press is seeking a dedicated Supply Chain Operations Specialist to join our team in Kuala Lumpur. In this role, you will be the backbone of our teaching aid distribution, ensuring that our products reach learners efficiently and accurately.
You will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end supply chain process, from coordinating with external manufacturing partners to managing inventory accuracy and order fulfillment. Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end external processing and manufacturing workflow for teaching aids.
- Oversee daily warehousing activities to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy through regular audits and system updates.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify bottlenecks and propose actionable efficiency improvements.
- Coordinate with vendors to monitor production schedules and quality control standards.
- Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline operational workflows.
- Prepare periodic performance reports regarding logistics costs, delivery timelines, and stock levels.
- Assist in cross-functional projects to support the growth and distribution of educational materials.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in supply chain, warehouse operations, or manufacturing coordination.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an added advantage).
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
