Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated System Administrator (NOC) to join our dynamic enterprise team. In this pivotal Level 1 / Level 1.5 support role, you will be responsible for proactive monitoring and ensuring the seamless operation of our critical infrastructure. Working within a 24x7 environment, you will act as the first line of defense, identifying potential issues before they escalate into major incidents. You will collaborate closely with senior technical staff to resolve tickets, maintain system health, and implement best practices for IT service management.

Responsibilities

  • Perform 24x7 proactive monitoring of servers, networks, and applications to ensure system stability and availability.
  • Respond to and troubleshoot Level 1 and Level 1.5 technical incidents and service requests efficiently.
  • Manage and prioritize ITIL-based ticket queues to ensure timely resolution of user issues.
  • Execute routine system maintenance, patch management, and configuration updates.
  • Document incident reports, technical procedures, and system changes to maintain comprehensive knowledge bases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose and resolve complex technical problems.
  • Monitor system performance metrics and alert stakeholders of potential bottlenecks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant IT certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional) is highly preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a NOC, Help Desk, or System Administration role.
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
  • Familiarity with network protocols, Active Directory, and basic network troubleshooting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts to support a 24/7 operation.
