Responsibilities
- Configure, maintain, and upgrade operating systems and enterprise applications to ensure high availability.
- Monitor system performance metrics and implement optimizations to reduce latency and improve resource utilization.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline deployment and management of system software.
- Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to maintain system integrity and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and provide technical support.
- Manage system backups, disaster recovery protocols, and patch management schedules.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, architecture, and procedural workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Systems Programmer, Systems Administrator, or in a similar technical role.
- Solid understanding of OS internals (Windows Server, Linux/Unix).
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Perl.
- Knowledge of enterprise application frameworks and server-side infrastructure.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and system hardening techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
