Responsibilities
- Create accurate 3D models of furniture components using Rhino 3D.
- Develop detailed technical drawings and documentation for manufacturing.
- Prepare and maintain bill of materials (BOM) and cost estimates.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to refine concepts and ensure feasibility.
- Support prototyping efforts by providing CAD files and technical guidance.
- Participate in design reviews and implement feedback to improve designs.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, GD&T, and quality requirements.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce material waste.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a furniture planner, CAD designer, or similar role.
- Proficiency in Rhino 3D; additional CAD software knowledge is a plus.
- Strong understanding of furniture design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and produce technical drawings, GD&T, and BOMs.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as woodworking, metal fabrication, or upholstery.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
