Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a targeted sales pipeline within Kuala Lumpur and nearby regions for scientific equipment and lab solutions.
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations and technical consultations to researchers, technicians, and procurement teams.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts, universities, hospitals, and research centers.
  • Achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets; accurately forecast and report pipeline activity.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to tailor proposals, respond to RFPs, and close deals.
  • Prepare proposals, negotiate terms, and coordinate delivery, installation, and after-sales support.
  • Maintain up-to-date product knowledge, industry trends, and competitive landscape; provide market feedback.
  • Travel within the territory as required to meet clients and participate in exhibitions or seminars.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent sales experience with scientific equipment.
  • 2+ years of field or technical sales experience in lab equipment or related products.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory workflows, safety standards, and customer pains.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, manage a sales pipeline, and close deals with institutional buyers.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel within Malaysia; valid driver's license preferred.
  • Fluent in English; Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage.
