As the Technical Service Manager, you will be the cornerstone of our technical engagement with clients and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). Your primary mission will be to lead OEM certifications and spearhead collaborative lubricant co-development projects, ensuring our products meet the rigorous performance standards of modern engines and industrial equipment. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all technical aspects of OEM certifications and approvals to ensure compliance with international standards (e.g., API, ACEA, ILSAC).
- Drive the co-development of advanced lubricant formulations with key OEM partners, aligning with emerging engine technologies and market trends.
- Provide expert technical support and comprehensive training to the Sales team and distributor network, enabling them to articulate product value effectively.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for key accounts, resolving complex technical inquiries and field performance issues promptly.
- Collaborate with the R&D team to translate market feedback into actionable insights for new product development and formulation optimization.
- Conduct regular market intelligence and competitor analysis to maintain leadership in product technology and application knowledge.
- Prepare and deliver high-impact technical presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations to executive-level stakeholders and clients.
- Support the Quality Assurance team in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions for product quality deviations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or a closely related technical discipline.
- Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience in the lubricants or automotive fluids industry, with at least 3 years in a technical service or application engineering capacity.
- Proven track record in successfully managing OEM certifications (e.g., Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Cummins, API) and collaborative development projects.
- Deep technical knowledge of lubricant chemistry, base oils, additives, and industry testing methodologies (ASTM, CEC, ISO).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex field issues and provide clear technical guidance.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English. Proficiency in Mandarin is highly desirable to facilitate communication with global headquarters and regional stakeholders.
- Highly organized, self-driven, and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel regionally (up to 15-20%) for site visits, customer meetings, and industry events.
