Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of trade finance instruments, including Issuance and Advising of Letters of Credit (LC), SBLCs, and Bank Guarantees.
- Coordinate closely with regional banking partners to monitor credit facility utilization and ensure timely execution of transactions.
- Review and verify shipping and trade documentation to ensure strict compliance with UCP 600, ISBP, and internal risk policies.
- Liaise with internal trading desks, operations, and accounting teams to facilitate smooth trade settlements.
- Prepare and present regular reports on trade finance activities, bank charges, and facility status to management.
- Mitigate financial and operational risks by staying updated on international trade regulations and compliance standards.
- Support the negotiation of trade finance terms and bank fees to optimize operational costs.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
- At least 2-4 years of hands-on experience in trade finance operations, preferably within the commodity or LNG trading industry.
- In-depth knowledge of international trade rules, specifically UCP 600, ISBP, and Incoterms 2020.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies in complex trade documents.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic trading environment.
- Proficiency in trade finance software and Microsoft Excel.
