WT Microelectronics Singapore Pte Ltd, a leading global semiconductor distributor, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Programs Manager to join our dynamic team in Changi. In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing 'service excellence' standards and operating procedures to optimize our VMI operations and enhance customer satisfaction.
As the VMI Programs Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end management of VMI programs, ensuring efficient inventory levels, timely replenishment, and seamless integration with customer systems. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to drive process improvements, reduce costs, and maintain high service levels. Your expertise will directly contribute to our reputation as a trusted partner in the supply chain.
Key responsibilities include establishing performance metrics, analyzing data to identify trends, leading cross-functional projects, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of inventory management principles, and a proven track record in managing VMI programs within the manufacturing, transport, or logistics sector.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive VMI strategies and service excellence standards to optimize inventory performance.
- Monitor and analyze inventory levels, usage patterns, and forecasting to ensure accurate and timely replenishment.
- Collaborate with customers and suppliers to integrate VMI processes and improve supply chain visibility.
- Lead cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly report on VMI program performance to stakeholders.
- Manage and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, and service issues promptly.
- Train and mentor team members on VMI best practices and procedures.
- Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to recommend innovative solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory management, supply chain, or VMI program management.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles, forecasting, and demand planning.
- Proven experience with VMI software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.
