Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical examinations, accurately diagnose various animal diseases and injuries, and develop effective treatment plans.
- Perform a wide range of surgical procedures, including routine spays/neuters and more complex soft tissue surgeries.
- Provide critical emergency care services during scheduled shifts, demonstrating quick decision-making and composure under pressure.
- Educate pet owners comprehensively on preventative care, nutrition, vaccination protocols, and overall animal wellness.
- Interpret diagnostic test results (e.g., X-rays, ultrasounds, blood work) to inform accurate diagnoses and prognoses.
- Maintain meticulous and detailed medical records for all patients, ensuring compliance with clinic standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with veterinary technicians, assistants, and other clinic staff to ensure seamless, high-quality patient care.
- Participate in continuous professional development and stay updated on the latest advancements in veterinary medicine and practices.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid and active veterinary license to practice in the Philippines.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, with a strong preference for experience in a 24/7 or emergency clinic.
- Demonstrated proficiency in a wide range of veterinary procedures, including diagnostics, general surgery, and dentistry.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with pet owners and clearly explain complex medical information.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound medical judgments quickly and effectively.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of new veterinary techniques and technologies.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by a 24/7 operational schedule.
