Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during examinations, surgical procedures, and treatments.
- Handle and restrain animals safely and humanely for various procedures and provide basic nursing care.
- Perform professional pet grooming services, including bathing, drying, clipping, styling, and nail trims, according to breed standards or client requests.
- Manage front desk operations, including scheduling appointments, answering phones, greeting clients, and processing payments.
- Maintain accurate and organized patient records and client information.
- Educate pet owners on animal health, nutrition, preventative care, and post-treatment instructions.
- Ensure the cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of clinic, reception, and grooming areas.
- Prepare examination rooms, surgical suites, and grooming stations with necessary equipment and supplies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a veterinary setting, animal care, customer service, or professional pet grooming is highly preferred.
- Genuine love and compassion for animals, coupled with the ability to handle various temperaments safely.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with clients and colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer proficiency for scheduling, record-keeping, and communication.
