PT. Intermulti Fiberindo is a leading construction and fiber company based in Tangerang, Indonesia. We are currently looking for a dedicated Welder & Water Pump Technician to support our growing portfolio of industrial and infrastructure projects.
In this contract role, you will be responsible for performing high‑quality welding operations on steel structures and installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting water pump systems on various construction sites. You will collaborate closely with engineers and site supervisors to ensure compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.
Key duties include:
- Executing MIG/MAG or SMAW welding tasks according to blueprints and safety regulations.
- Installing, testing, and commissioning centrifugal and submersible water pumps.
- Carrying out preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on pumps, piping, and related equipment.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical manuals.
- Ensuring strict adherence to occupational health and safety protocols.
- Maintaining detailed records of work performed, parts used, and equipment status.
- Participating in site meetings and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities
- Perform MIG/MAG or SMAW welding on structural steel components according to specifications.
- Install, test, and commission water pump systems, including submersible and centrifugal pumps.
- Conduct routine maintenance and emergency repairs on pumps, pipes, and associated equipment.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical instructions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment.
- Coordinate with project managers and site engineers to meet deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and equipment status.
- Assist in the setup and dismantling of temporary site facilities as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1‑2 years of experience in welding and water pump installation/repair.
- Certified welding qualification (e.g., ISO 9601, AWS) is preferred.
- Familiarity with different pump types (centrifugal, positive displacement) and their applications.
- Physically fit and able to work in outdoor construction environments.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to be assigned to various project locations as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent in a technical field.
