Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Workplace Safety & Health Supervisor to lead safety initiatives for a high‑profile sand discharging project that involves complex lifting operations in the Tuas industrial zone.
In this role you will be responsible for the planning, implementation and monitoring of all safety measures on site, ensuring that every activity complies with Singapore’s stringent workplace health regulations. You will work closely with project managers, engineers and operatives to embed a proactive safety culture, conducting regular audits, risk assessments and toolbox talks.
Key duties include performing site inspections, identifying hazards, developing safe work procedures for lifting gear, and ensuring that all permits and documentation are up‑to‑date. You will also lead incident investigations, produce detailed reports, and drive corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
To succeed in this fast‑paced environment you must be a strong communicator who can influence behavior at all levels, from site crew to senior leadership. The ideal candidate will be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident with a recognised safety qualification and a proven track record in a similar construction or heavy‑industry setting.

Responsibilities
- Oversee daily safety operations for sand discharging and lifting activities on site.
- Conduct risk assessments, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and safety inspections; implement corrective actions promptly.
- Ensure full compliance with Singapore Ministry of Manpower (MOM) regulations, Workplace Safety and Health Act, and relevant ISO standards.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs and toolbox talks for crew, subcontractors, and visitors.
- Lead incident investigations, prepare detailed reports, and track corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain accurate safety documentation, permits, and records in line with legal requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and client representatives to promote a safety‑first culture across all project phases.
Qualifications
- Minimum NTC‑2 or WSQ Higher Nitec in Safety, or equivalent MOM‑approved Safety Officer certification.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Safety Supervisor in construction, heavy industry, or similar projects.
- Proven expertise in lifting operations, sand handling, and site safety protocols.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore MOM regulations, Workplace Safety and Health Act, and ISO 45001.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills; ability to influence at all levels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management software.
- Valid Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Physically fit and comfortable working in an outdoor, industrial environment.
