Job Description
China Construction (South Pacific) Development Co Pte Ltd is seeking a dedicated Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Officer to join our team in Yishun, North Region. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and enforcing workplace safety and health measures on construction sites, ensuring full compliance with Singaporeās WSH Act and related regulations.
You will collaborate closely with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to promote a strong safety culture, conduct regular inspections, and drive continuous improvement in health and safety performance. Your expertise will be key to minimizing risks, preventing accidents, and safeguarding the wellbeing of all workers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop, implement, and maintain WSH policies and procedures in accordance with Singapore regulations.
- Conduct routine site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
- Investigate accidents, nearāmisses, and incidents, preparing reports and recommending corrective actions.
- Provide safety training, toolbox talks, and emergency response briefings to workers and subcontractors.
- Monitor compliance with the WSH Act, MOM guidelines, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with project managers and supervisors to integrate safety into project planning and execution.
To be successful, you should have a relevant tertiary education in occupational safety, health, or a related field, along with proven experience in a construction environment. Strong communication, leadership, and problemāsolving skills are essential.

Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Occupational Safety, Health, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a WSH role within the construction industry.
- Certified WSH Officer (e.g., WSHO) or willingness to obtain certification.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore WSH Act, MOM regulations, and risk management frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead safety briefings.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management software.
